Library Media Center Policies & Procedures

• Students attend library media class once a week on their assigned class day
• It is the student's responsibility to bring their charged laptop to library media class
• It is the student's responsibility to return their library media book each week during library media class
• Kindergarten students are able to check out 1 book each week during their library media class, if they have returned their library book from the previous week
• First through fifth grade students are able to check out 2 books each week during their library media class, if they have returned their library book from the previous week
• The check out limit may be increase for in class projects and Book Buddy events
• Students in grades 1-5 are encouraged to select at least 1 fiction book that they can read independently.
• Students are responsible for all lost and damaged library books. Payment is requested at the time of damage. The majority of library damage is caused by leaking water bottles in student backpacks. Students are encouraged to keep a large ziplock bag in their backpack to safely store library books while in backpacks
• Spread the joy of reading by reading with your child!
